The Montgomery Central Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 55-39 to Houston County. When it comes to explaining why Montgomery Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Drew Yarbrough. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Yarbrough scored a full 38.5% of Montgomery Central's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Christian Fox was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Montgomery Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Houston County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montgomery Central has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Jo Byrns at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Houston County will take on Waverly Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
