They walked away with a 60-52 victory over King's Academy. For Sacred Heart Prep, this counts as revenge for the 53-49 defeat King's Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Sacred Heart Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JP Kerrigan, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was TJ O'Brien, who scored 13 points.
Sacred Heart Prep is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for King's Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart Prep will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Crystal Springs Uplands at 4:00 p.m. on January 25th. Crystal Springs Uplands will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 967th, while Sacred Heart Prep is ranked 89th). As for King's Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Eastside College Prep on Friday.
