Washington-Liberty can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Wakefield as Washington-Liberty made off with a 41-21 victory. Given Washington-Liberty's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Wakefield is ranked 260th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jonathan Bhojwani was his usual excellent self, throwing for 373 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.3 yards per attempt. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Nowinski, who picked up 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Westfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Lakes.
Washington-Liberty's win lifted them to 9-1 while Westfield's defeat dropped them down to 7-3.
