If the Grace Christian Patriots were riding high off their 78-26 takedown of the Palm Grove Christian Gators last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Grace Christian took a 69-51 bruising from Heritage Christian School on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Grace Christian in their matchups with Heritage Christian School: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Grace Christian still got an impressive performance from Mark Dudley, who scored 35 points. Dudley hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games.
Heritage Christian School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Reid out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Reid, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Grace Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Heritage Christian School, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will take on West Hernando Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage Christian School, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Liberty Christian Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Liberty Christian Prep is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
