Despite the defeat, Antietam saw an underclassman step up: AJ Schiefly scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jonas Coste, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Schuylkill Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Antietam, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schuylkill Valley will challenge Wyomissing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Antietam, they will head out on the road to take on Hamburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hamburg is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
