The Franklin Flyers lost against the Shelton Bulldogs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Franklin was dealt a 59-13 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. Franklin has struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as their match on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Allison Boettcher was Franklin's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Reagan Kahrs held things down on the boards with 11 rebounds.
Franklin's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-16. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.1 points per game. As for Shelton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Franklin is on the road again on Saturday and plays the Raiders at 9:00 a.m. on February 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Lawrence-Nelson is ranked 251st, while the Flyers are ranked 270th). As for Shelton, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. Hopefully Kenesaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Monday.
