The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mounds, who took down 224th ranked Mounds, 20-13.
Alex Wheeland and Colby Graves provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Wellston. The connection went for 69 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 5 this season.
Jordan Presley was the most productive running back in the league this week. In nine carries, he ran for 116 yards as Haskell bested the Tigers. Wheeland also contributed to the rushing game with 104 yards on the ground.
Graves was the best wideout in the league this week as the Haymakers topped Wellston. Graves tallied two receptions for 85 yards. Gabe Gilbert helped Haskell's passing attack out by catching two balls for 33 yards.
Jake Standlee put up the best numbers through the air as Meeker beat Central. He finished with four completions for 70 yards and two touchdowns. Standlee's favorite target this week was Dallas Jackson, who caught two passes for 37 yards.
The Bulldogs' Standlee and Nick Cagle have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 2A District 5 in both passing and receiving yards. Standlee has thrown for 836 yards this season, while Cagle, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 16 catches for 405 yards. Wheeland from Haskell leads the league in rushing with 1085 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Haymakers take on the Golden Eagles. At the moment, Haskell is in third, while Mounds is in fifth.
Stroud extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Okemah, 28-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
