Saginaw was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Richland apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Saginaw's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tatum Stone, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals, and Anabelle Aguilera who scored 2 points. Stone scored a full 56.5% of Saginaw's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Allison Holman was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last four games she's played. Cydra Nabataanzi was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Saginaw has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Richland, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Saginaw will square off against West Mesquite at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Richland, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Seguin.
