Baseball Recap: Robinson Comes Up Short

Robinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Steinbrenner Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-0 loss back in March.

Collin Rosenberg made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Robinson: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was TJ Maiello, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Robinson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Steinbrenner, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Robinson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-8 loss against Armwood on the 5th. As for Steinbrenner, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Lennard on the 5th.
