After only two runs in their last game, Rolling Meadows made sure to put some runs up on the board against Round Lake on Saturday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 14-1 victory. Chloe McQueen looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Caylee Del Boccio was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Ferguson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Rolling Meadows was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Round Lake only posted a batting average of .000.
Rolling Meadows' record is now 5-10. As for Round Lake, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
