Fans got a thrill when Josh Miller and Kortney Pittman connected against St. Patrick. The longest such play in 3A Region 8 this season, the connection resulted in 65 yards.
Seminary took down Perry Central 40-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
West Marion's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Miller threw for 145 and 2 touchdowns and Pittman had 79 yards receiving. On the ground Miller chipped in 129 yards. Money Gaddis helped West Marion's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 35 yards.

Stevie Scott made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Bulldogs fell to the Bulldogs. He recorded 1 fumble.
Perry Central's Ashanta Bolton and Scott have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bolton has thrown for 1,063 yards this season, while Scott has 26 catches for 626 yards. Miller from West Marion leads the league in rushing with 624 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Seminary takes on Sumrall. Brian Rials' team is currently in first, while the Bobcats are in fifth.
Tylertown made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,719 from 5,446. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 26-2 victory over Sumrall last week.
