Workman is 10-0 against Azusa since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Workman Lobos will head out on the road to face off against the Azusa Aztecs at 6:00 p.m. Workman is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
Last Wednesday, Workman didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Nogales, but they still walked away with a 47-42 victory.
Meanwhile, Azusa was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 39-33 to Sierra Vista. Azusa has struggled against Sierra Vista recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Workman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Azusa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Workman against Azusa in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 73-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Workman since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
