Nezperce is 0-10 against Deary since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Nezperce Nighthawks are on the road again and plays the Deary Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Nezperce focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Nezperce beat St. John Bosco Academy 34-30. The win was just what Nezperce needed coming off of a 75-16 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nezperce to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kairys Grant, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aubree Lux, who scored six points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Deary unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 53-45 to Kendrick. Deary has not had much luck with Kendrick recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Nezperce's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11. As for Deary, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
Nezperce took a serious blow against Deary in their previous meeting last Tuesday, falling 50-15. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Nezperce was down 32-10.
