The Hampton Christian Academy Warriors stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They breezed by Peninsula Catholic on the road to the tune of 63-10. The win was just business as usual for Hampton Christian Academy, who after nine games remain undefeated this season.
Leading Hampton Christian Academy to victory were Jayla Crosby and Mikaela Lee. Crosby scored 22 points along with nine steals, while Lee dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 steals. Lee is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mahdy Sigler, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Peninsula Catholic struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Hampton Christian Academy racked up 14 assists.
Hampton Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Peninsula Catholic, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hampton Christian Academy will challenge Denbigh Baptist Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denbigh Baptist Christian's defense has only allowed 22.6 points per game this season, so Hampton Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Peninsula Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Hampton Roads Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hampton Roads Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
