The Calvert Senecas will face off against the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Calvert comes in on four and St. Joseph Central Catholic on three.

Addison King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Stella Thomas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Thomas was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Kelbley, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Amaree Haralson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Calvert pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Calvert hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .405. However, it's not like St. Joseph Central Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .374. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Calvert might still be hurting after the 14-3 defeat they got from St. Joseph Central Catholic when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Senecas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
