Juab is 9-1 against Richfield since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wasps will challenge the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Juab sitting on nine straight wins and Richfield on three.
Juab is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Grantsville as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wasps, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Austin Park made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Connor Cowan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Trevin Park, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Juab hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grantsville struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Richfield took on Union on Monday. The Wildcats walked away with a 7-3 win over the Cougars.
Jess Curtis was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Richfield's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 9-17 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Fautin, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Juab pushed their record up to 23-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Richfield, their victory bumped their record up to 12-17.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Juab hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Richfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Juab's way against Richfield in their previous matchup back in April, as Juab made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wasps since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
