Norton is 10-0 against Woodridge since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Norton Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Woodridge Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Norton is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
On Tuesday, Norton earned a 48-40 win over Streetsboro. The victory was all the more spectacular given Norton's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Streetsboro is ranked 92nd).
Meanwhile, Woodridge came up short against Brecksville-Broadview Heights on Saturday and fell 46-35.
Norton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Woodridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Norton took their victory against Woodridge when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 56-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
