On Saturday Flagler/Hi-Plains take on Arickaree/Woodlin at Hi-Plains Homecoming at 3:00 PM. Arickaree/Woodlin will need to watch out since Flagler/Hi-Plains have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Flagler/Hi-Plains took a serious blow against Idalia last Friday, falling 42-78. Flagler/Hi-Plains's defeat came about despite a quality game from sophomore Zayd Banks, who picked up 94 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs. In fact, with 12 tackles Banks was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing 8 points in the game before, Arickaree/Woodlin made sure to put some points up on the board against Granada two weeks ago. Arickaree/Woodlin strolled past Granada with points to spare, taking the matchup 76-56. Yes, you read that final score correctly. Yes, this was football.
Arickaree/Woodlin's win lifted them to 2-1 while Flagler/Hi-Plains's loss dropped them down to 2-2. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
