The Liberty Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Lewis-Palmer 56-35. Winning may never get old, but Liberty sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Liberty got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacie Bunck out in front who scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The contest was Bunck's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Gardner, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Liberty's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4. As for Lewis-Palmer, they bumped their record down to 4-3 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Liberty will head out on the road to face off against Sand Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sand Creek comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Lewis-Palmer will be home for the holidays to greet Centaurus at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Centaurus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Saturday.
