Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brody Cleaver and Bronco Bundy Lead Delta to Victory

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Delta's strategy against Carbon on Wednesday. The Delta Rabbits enjoyed a cozy 58-41 victory over the Carbon Dinos. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-43 back in December of 2024.

Delta was led to victory by Bronco Bundy and Brody Cleaver. Bundy went 8 for 12 en route to 21 points in addition to five assists and three steals, while Cleaver went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds Cleaver has posted since back in November of 2024. Tate Topham was another key player, putting up two points along with seven boards and five steals.

Delta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carbon only pulled down two offensive rebounds.

Several Dinos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyler Orth, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points. Orth continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Lancaster, who posted five points and three steals.

Delta's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8. As for Carbon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delta will face off against North Sanpete at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Delta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season. As for Carbon, they will take on Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Richfield will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Carbon surely won't give up without a fight.
