The Clarkston Bantams will venture away from home to challenge the Pullman Greyhounds at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pullman will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Clarkston extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Bantams were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over North Central.
Jacob Stewart was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Clarkston got a massive performance out of Tucker Green, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Green is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games he's played. Morgan Bunch was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Clarkston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Pullman made easy work of North Central on Saturday and carried off a 14-1 victory. The Greyhounds haven't had any issues with the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Braden Northcroft was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Ty Rasmussen also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Clarkston's record now sits at 9-7. As for Pullman, their record is now 10-2.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Clarkston has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Pullman struggles in that department as they've averaged .476. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Clarkston was able to grind out a solid victory over Pullman in their previous matchup back in March, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bantams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
