The Orestimba Warriors came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Pacheco for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-26 win at home. The result was nothing new for Orestimba, who have now won four games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Orestimba was led to victory by Jacob Valenzuela and Caleb Marin dominguez. Valenzuela scored ten points along with seven rebounds, while Marin dominguez scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The game was Marin dominguez's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Reynoso, who scored ten points.
Orestimba's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Pacheco, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.
Orestimba's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Denair at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Hopefully Denair focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. Pacheco is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Johansen at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
