Poplar Bluff is 8-2 against Dexter since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mules will be playing at home against the Bearcats at 4:30 p.m.

Bryce Dobbs made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Marcus Tabanera was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dexter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Kelly on Wednesday. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Beau Carrier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nolan Alford, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Howard, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one triple.
Poplar Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Dexter, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Poplar Bluff hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like Dexter struggles in that department as they've averaged .343. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
