It was a good run, but the Parkwood Wolf Pack unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Stanly. Parkwood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colts apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Parkwood's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Greg Vinson, who scored 18 points along with five assists, and Cameron McKinney who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zechariah Roberts, who scored six points along with two steals.
Parkwood's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for West Stanly, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkwood will take on the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Anson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests. As for West Stanly, they will be playing at home against the Redhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Monroe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Wednesday.
