Marshall Christian Academy led TCAL Division II - District 2 (6 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Marshall Christian Academy.
The Guardians' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Samuel Lastra threw for 157 and one touchdown and Caleb Young had 55 yards receiving. On the ground Lastra chipped in 228 yards. Joshua Young helped Marshall Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching four balls for 52 yards.
Marshall Christian Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Guardians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lastra has thrown for 416 yards and one touchdown this season, while Ben Whiting has 12 catches for 221 yards. Lastra also leads the league in rushing with 895 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Marshall Christian Academy takes on Tyler HEAT. Guy Barr's team is in third place, while Tyler HEAT is in first place.
The Guardians fell 60-54 to Karnack in the closest game of the week. Lastra in the loss.
