Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask DeMotte Christian). They put the hurt on the Tri-Township Tigers with a sharp  15-2 win on Thursday. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Cheznie Kooy made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Kooy was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, DeMotte Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Lili Peterson, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with four  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  runs  Peterson has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Allie Myers, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.
 DeMotte Christian  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .647. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-Township only posted  an  OBP of  .286.
DeMotte Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Tri-Township,  they are  on  a  17-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.
 The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. DeMotte Christian will challenge Pioneer at 11:00  a.m.  on Monday. As for Tri-Township, they will square off against Westville at 1:00  p.m.  on Monday.
