The Elberta Warriors suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2023 on Saturday. They were outmatched by Foley at home and fell 71-35. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Elberta in their matchups with Foley: they've now lost four in a row.
Ty Hunter had an outrageously good game for Foley as he scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Cam'ron Page was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Elberta has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Foley, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-26.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elberta will stay at home for another game and welcome Bayside Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Bayside Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Elberta in Alabama (Bayside Academy is ranked 145th, while Elberta is ranked 382nd). As for Foley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Milton at 6:30 p.m.
