Last Friday, Bartram Trail lost to Nease on the road by a decisive 54-40 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bartram Trail in their matchups with Nease: they've now lost three in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Landon Geren, who scored 14 points. He scored a full 35% of Bartram Trail's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Souza, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but St. Augustine ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Pine Ridge out 46-44.
Bartram Trail's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Augustine, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Bartram Trail couldn't quite finish off St. Augustine in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 and fell 53-50. Can Bartram Trail avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
