It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Silverton had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hood River Valley Eagles with a sharp 7-1 win. Silverton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by three goals or more this season.

The victory (which was Silverton's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-1-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Hood River Valley, the loss snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 10-5-1 record.

Looking ahead, Silverton will square off against Summit on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Silverton 0.4, Summit 0.5) so any goals scored will be well earned. Hood River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
