Basketball Recap: Clover Park Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lakes

Clover Park scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 86-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakes Lancers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (69), the Timberwolves still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Clover Park still got an impressive performance from Marshall Scott, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 34 points and six rebounds. The matchup was Scott's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ijohn Taylor, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points.

Clover Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lakes, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Clover Park didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-75 win against Washington on the 19th. Lakes has also already played their next matchup, a 76-31 victory against Steilacoom on the 20th.
