Franklin had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 4-12 to make it four. They fell just short of the Tokay Tigers by a score of 7-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 on April 2nd.
Priscilla Magallanez-Coleman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Jasmine Nieto led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Aliciana Young was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for Tokay, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.
On Tokay's side, Brooklyn Schaede made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Schaede was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Alyssa Galletti and Ava Pasqualicchio did most of the damage at the plate: Galletti went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Pasqualicchio went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Pasqualicchio has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Allie Castelanelli, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will host Edison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Tokay, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Weston Ranch at 6:00 p.m.
