Resurrection Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 44-27 victory over the Canon City Tigers.

Walston rushed for 168 yards and one TD while picking up 7.3 yards per carry while Pszanka gained 121 total yards and three touchdowns. Those 168 rushing yards gave Walston a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Lucas, who threw for 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.
Resurrection Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 200 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in seven consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Despite the loss, Canon City still got an impressive performance from Gavin Reddick, who rushed for 92 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also picked up 52 receiving yards. Jake Adamic helped out on the ground, rushing for 95 yards and a rushing touchdown.
