This season hasn't been kind to the Marshall Owls, who are still winless after their fourth match. They fell to Fulton 61-57. Marshall has not had much luck with Fulton recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Marshall's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Stephen Caviness, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Kueker, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Fulton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall will be home for the holidays to greet Moberly at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Moberly presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Marshall in Missouri (Moberly is ranked 155th, while Marshall is ranked 429th). As for Fulton, they will be playing at home against Boonville at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Boonville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 233 points over their last four contests.
