The Westmont Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Willow Glen Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Willow Glen took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Westmont, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, everything went Westmont's way against Mt. Pleasant as Westmont made off with a 34-13 victory. The victory was just what Westmont needed coming off of a 46-21 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Willow Glen didn't have quite enough to beat Ann Sobrato on Friday and fell 14-11. Willow Glen has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Westmont is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Willow Glen, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Westmont was able to grind out a solid victory over Willow Glen in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, winning 42-34. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Willow Glen's Cooper Nixon, who rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Westmont to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
