Peyton Panozzo gave up the fewest hits he has since back in April on Sunday. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because St. Rita is 6-3 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-15 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Panozzo and St. Rita will take on Sandburg in a tournament on Friday. The Mustangs will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 125 places lower in Illinois), but they're not letting that get them down.
