Wallace County is 1-7 against Dighton since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Wallace County can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They breezed by Otis-Bison at home to the tune of 58-0. The win was nothing new for Wallace County as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kean Dinkel was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 116 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Cade Funk was another key contributor, picking up 46 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Dighton strolled past Kinsley with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 36-20. The win was just what Dighton needed coming off of a 100-64 defeat in their prior match.
Dighton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Cramer, who threw for 97 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was George Vonleonrod, who gained 97 total yards and two touchdowns.
Wallace County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Dighton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Wallace County was taken down by Dighton 38-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Thankfully for Wallace County, Max Neeley (who rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
