The Libby Loggers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Whitefish Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Libby has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
Last Saturday, Libby was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 35-30 to Polson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Libby in their matchups with Polson: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Whitefish, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 72-70. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Libby dropped their record down to 1-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.5 points per game. As for Whitefish, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Libby came up short against Whitefish when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 40-28. Will Libby have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
