After flying high against Hayfork  last Wednesday, Trinity came back down to earth. The Trinity Wolves wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 14-3 walloping at the hands of the Mt. Shasta Bears on Friday. Trinity has not had much luck with Mt. Shasta recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
 Trinity saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Gracie Varney, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaden Brown, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
 Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Mt. Shasta, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: they beat Trinity by a score of  14-11 later that day.
