Last Friday, Poteet came up short against Seagoville and fell 4-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Poteet came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Seagoville is ranked 652nd).
Meanwhile, sadly, Samuell is still looking for their first win of the season after seven contests. They fell 2-0 to Spruce on Saturday.
Poteet's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-2. As for Samuell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5-2.
