Baseball Recap: Pleasanton Has No Trouble Against Devine

Pleasanton barely beat Devine the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Pleasanton was the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Devine on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Warhorses recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Jayden Arrendondo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

In other pitching news, Arnold Tijerina looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Erik Coronado was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Max Wiggins was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Pleasanton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .553 or higher in four consecutive games.

Pleasanton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
