 Marquette Catholic was working as a unit and  finished the game with 15  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kankakee Valley only posted five.
 Meanwhile, Gary West Side was just a bucket shy of victory  on Tuesday and fell  39-38 to River Forest. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Ingots recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Gary West Side's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Marquette Catholic, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Everything came up roses for Marquette Catholic against Gary West Side in their previous meeting  back in November of 2023, as the  squad secured  a  66-12 victory.
