Basketball Recap: Parkway South Skates Past Northwest with Ease

Parkway South won against Parkway North last Friday with 73 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Parkway South Patriots blew past the Northwest Lions 73-32. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Noah Barnes was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 22 on his way to 25 points along with eight assists and six steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Sam Duncan was another key player, going 5 for 10 to rack up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Parkway South has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Northwest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkway South will face off against Jennings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwest, they will square off against Maplewood-Richmond Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
