The Winterboro Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 57-4 win over Alabama School for the Deaf on the road. With Winterboro ahead 34-2 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Winterboro's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katelyn Brown, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Winterboro's points. Kailynn Williams was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Winterboro's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Alabama School for the Deaf, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Winterboro will head out on the road to face off against Handley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Handley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Alabama School for the Deaf, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mississippi School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. Mississippi School for the Deaf is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
