Mainland is 2-8 against Atlantic since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mainland Buccaneers will venture away from home to challenge the Atlantic Sharks at 4:30 p.m. Mainland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Mainland came up short against Seabreeze and fell 7-4. The game marked the Buccaneers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Helmut Waters was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Allen, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Atlantic hadn't beaten Taylor on the road since April 13, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. Atlantic walked away with a 5-2 win over Taylor.

Jackson Bowman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Atlantic let Jake Cronin and Ezra Goulding run wild. Cronin scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Goulding scored a run while going 3-for-3. Cronin also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Jayden Lombardi was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Atlantic's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mainland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Atlantic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mainland hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. It's a different story for Atlantic, though, as they've only averaged .210. Will they be able to contain Mainland's hitters?

Mainland might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Atlantic in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Mainland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
