Even though the Cross Creek Razorbacks scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, the Carver Tigers still came out on top. Carver took down Cross Creek 76-57. Given Carver's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Cross Creek is ranked 131st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Cross Creek still got an impressive performance from Micheala Bogans, who scored 30 points. The match was Bogans' third in a row with at least ten points. JaNya Wiley was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Carver now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cross Creek, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Carver will take on Veterans at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cross Creek, they will square off against Hardaway at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
