Mio-Au Sable scaled the state rankings by moving to 377 from 415 this week, the biggest jump in North Star - Old. The Thunderbolts climbed the ranks as a result of beating Hillman 47-26.
Mio-Au Sable extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Tigers, 47-26. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
The Thunderbolts' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brad Rhoads threw for 350 and 4 touchdowns and colton mcgregor had 135 yards receiving. On the ground Bryson Devers chipped in 155 yards. seth thomey helped Mio-Au Sable's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 103 yards.
He went 18-32 with 3 interceptions.
Devers was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 155 yards on 12 carries as Mio-Au Sable defeated Hillman. ryan ellul also contributed to the rushing game with 41 yards on the ground.
5-foot-8 quarterback Rhoads of the Thunderbolts is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,286. He has also thrown 17 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Mason VanPamel. The Hillman star has 22 catches for 395 yards.
A big matchup in North Star - Old this week will be when Atlanta takes on Bill Koenig's team. At the moment, the Huskies are in fourth, while the Tigers are in second.
Atlanta led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Au Gres-Sims. Seth Teets threw for 151 yards and ran for 18 yards during the win.
