McCloud will look to defend their home turf on Thursday against Butte Valley at 4:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close matchup.
McCloud were able to grind out a solid victory over Mercy last week, winning 57-49. No one had a better game by the numbers than senior Korbin Woolery, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 141 yards on the ground and snatched 3 receiving TDs. In fact, with 10 tackles Woolery was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-80, which was the final score in Butte Valley's tilt against Princeton.
McCloud's win lifted them to 2-0 while Butte Valley's loss dropped them down to 0-3. We'll find out if McCloud can add another positive mark to their record or if Butte Valley can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of McCloud's step.
