Hudson extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 8-5 in the process. They skirted past the Eau Claire North Huskies 7-5. Seven seems to be a good number for the Raiders as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

As for Eau Claire North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered against Hudson since April 19, 2022.

For Eau Claire North's part, Riley Fischer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double was Fischer's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Gruna, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudson will take on Prescott at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Eau Claire North, they will face off against Lakeland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
