South Miami came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against American, but Derrius Black wouldn't allow it. The American Patriots were the clear victor by an 83-58 margin over the South Miami Cobras on Tuesday thanks in part to Black, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 boards. Those 22 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Joshua Castin, who posted seven points and four steals. Castin is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why South Miami lost, don't look at Victor Dominguez. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mehki Powell, who had ten points.
