Even though the Jackson City Tigers scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, the Wolfe County Wolves still came out on top. Wolfe County walked away with a 72-62 win over Jackson City. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wolfe County.
Wolfe County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Corey Flinchum, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Flinchum has scored at least 25% of Wolfe County's points. Skylar Ritche was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Wolfe County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Jackson City, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Wolfe County will head out on the road to face off against Betsy Layne at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Betsy Layne has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 379 points over their last five games. As for Jackson City, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Breathitt County at 7:30 p.m.
